Someone had requested that I made a vanity for a dressingroom that, when you sit, moves the camera so it looks like you're looking in the mirror at yourself. So, I decided to make an entire room out of it. All of the pieces you see in the photo come in the set, including the curtain wall.

Mudhoney Winter Wonderland Photoble

This Photoble would have been great before Christmas, but will still work nicely for the wintery season. I've gotten two wonderful posemakers to supply poses, and they turned out soooo cute.

There are 7 single poses and 1 couple's pose. The Photoble weighs in a 68 prims, and comes with a rezzer, just like all the other ones, for easy assembly and cleanup.

There are poses in the light pole, deer, bench and sidewalk. Just right click and choose "Relax" to sit.

You can also use any of your own poses inside the Photoble, and even take the pieces out to use in your own decor.

The snow shown in the pictures is NOT included. I purchased it from Eyefliez Inc (Jabba Aabye).

Hey guys, I'm excited to release this new set, cause I've been working on it for like a week and a half, and I'm sooo happy with how it turned out :)

If you land at the landing point, us the directory board to tp to the livingrooms building.

It comes in copy or transfer sets, just as all of my other sets do. The sofa, bolster, pillows and stool each have menu-driven sits in them. The sofa will seat two people, the pillows seat one person, and the stool seats one. The bolster will seat two people, and there are reading animations included. To get a book to read, click on either one of the poofs on the end of the bolster, and just wear to read :)

The candles each turn off and on by touching them, and the cabinet, you can open by clicking the doors. You can also click on the book stack to get a book to read.

Hey guys, just sendin a note to let you all know I'm participating in So 2010, along with a bunch of really awesome designers.

This means that I've marked down a few random things in my store to 50L for the duration of this event. I'm not telling you which items are marked down, but I will give you a couple of hints. The marked down items are only in the livingroom and bedroom buildings, are not full sets, and are not accessories. It is only major pieces of furniture.

This is a Christmas themed Photoble with 15 pieces altogether, including a fireplace, stockings with holders, photos, a Christmas tree, candles, and cuddle pillows.

This weekend is the opening of my MudHoney empire! wahaha. To celebrate, some of the shops will be having a sidewalk sale, along with myself! I'll be putting out probably 5 things marked down to a ridiculously low price, and I'll have some new free stuff for you guys, so don't miss out! It'll only be available Saturday and Sunday!

Don't forget to wander around to the other stores, some of them will have things out for you as well!

MudHoney - New Summer Stuff

It's been quite a while since I've even put out anything new, sorry about that! I have some new stuff today though :D A couple of things I've had out for a week or so, but haven't sent a notice for, and the new house I just put out on friday.

I've also put a little gift out on the front desk in a gift box, so make sure you stop by and grab it!

I've had soooooo many requests for the vintage trunk I made for the Keys hunt a while back, so I decided to make a slight variation of it available in my store. I took some prims out, used different textures, and put different poses in it.
The blanket and pillows are a seperate piece from the trunk, so you can use them seperately. You can put the blanket and pillows on a ledge or on a different piece of furniture, in a window, etc... and then use the trunk seperately as a table, room decoration... whatever you decide :)
The trunk is available in mod/copy or mod/trans in store, so you can choose which perms you like most.

I've been wanting to challenge myself by using lighter colors, since most of what I do is earthtones and dark colors. I'm pretty happy with how my challenge turned out.
The Jersey Shore Beach House is available in non-furnished for now, but I'll be offering a fully furnished version soon. The entire house is 169 prims, but I've made the lattice seperate from the house, so you can take it off if it's too many prims for you. It's 117 prims without the lattice.
The doors are lockable, and you can add a list of people who are always allowed to come in on the Whitelist notecard inside the door controller.

I'm kind of in love with outside furniture that comes with built-in plants, so I decided to make one of my own. There are cuddles and a couple of hangout type poses in the hammock, and one single sit in each of the pillows.
The set comes with the hammock, stumpes, plants, mushrooms and a mound of grass. The whole set is just one piece, so you can just rez it and move it around easily.
The hammock uses my new update system, so if i make any fixes, add new poses, etc, you'll get an updated copy.

Some of you may have noticed in the New Releases section, there's some shelves with bolts of fabric. My bestest friend, Jena Indigo, has decided to have a go at making full perm textures, and she's doing an amazing job so far! Right now, there are 4 texture packs, and hopefully soon, she'll have more :D (hint hint Jena!) You can click on the bolts of fabric, and the texture will change, to show you all of the textures that come in the pack. Shades of Indigo is exclusively in MudHoney. (tip: Shades of Indigo textures look awesomely awesome on MudHoney furniture, in case you want to retexture anything :D... jus' sayin' ;) )

MudHoney Designs Grand Reopening Event!

MudHoney Designs has moved, and is celebrating the re-opening with a huge 50% off sale, on the ENTIRE store, for the week of August 8th through the 15th!

Sugar Mill Poses will also be marking their WHOLE store down HALF OFF in celebration of MudHoney moving to their sim!

We're having a Grand Re-Opening Party from 5-7pm August 8th, with DJ Dilly Dawes on the air. Both myself and Anicia will be giving out gift cards and prizes randomly throughout the event!

MudHoney Designs Luxury Chicken Coop

It's been all the rage lately, those crazy sion chickens. But, I haven't really seen a whole lot of pretty places to put them. So, the first in my series of designer chicken coops, the Wright Inspired Chicken Coop.

I've always admired the creations of Frank Lloyd Wright, and decided, why not a chicken coop inspired by Wright?

I've included 2 feeders, 4 roosting perches and 2 egg shelves inside the coop. They're not linked, so you can add extra ones included, or take them out if you don't need them. Also, if the build is too many prims, you can safely take off the extra design elements I've put on the build, like the roof overhang and the pillars.

The door locks, and includes a whitelist notecard you can add people's names in there that are ok to enter the coop. I've set the door for owner access only, but it can be changed in the Configuration notecard to Everyone or Group.

The coop fits pretty nicely in a 10x10 area, and is 98 prims with the accessories included. It's 70 Prims for just the coop and the door.

Luna Gazebo and Lune Cuddle Gazebo!

The Luna Gazebo is packed full of furniture and accessories. The hanging cuddle lounger has a cuddle menu in it, just click and sit on the poseballs. I've also included a regular non-cuddle sit in each of the bolsters just in case you're not in a snuggly kinda mood. The sofa has 3 menu-driven sits in each cushion, so 3 people can sit however they choose. Each of the side chairs have 4 menu-driven sits in them, just click on the chair after sitting to get the menu. The candles also turn off and on by touching the wicks. Lots of pieces in this one.

The Luna Cuddle Gazebo includes a cuddle lounger with a menu, so click and sit on the poseballs. This one has a few of the same pieces as as the other gazebo, but added curtains, a trunk and a pillow pile.

Each piece can be bought separately (mod/no copy only), or bought in full sets.

Each set is available in mod/copy or mod/trans, so you can pick whichever you like :) I'll have these displayed by my pond for a week, and then will be moving it to the house rezzer to save some prims.

We're In 'ROLE Magazine'!

We are in an article in the House and Living section of Role Magazine, titled 'Living on the Seaside of Second Life', written by Keely Huet. She says some very nice things about our furniture and decor and includes us as, "one of the stores on the grid that will give you a kick start towards that perfect seaside look."

"The store Mudhoney has been on the scene for a little while now offering quality items ranging from beds, prefabs, pillows, couches, art, basically everything you would need for your home. The textures are shaded wonderfully. The Wave Side Chair grabbed my attention immediately. I love the way it's shaped, and the blue and white lend a seaside feel. It would be perfect outside on some decking while you SL fish or would look terrific inside as part of a living room arrangement. It's incredibly versatile. The Shell in the Sand art piece was an obvious choice for the seaside look but I felt it was very edgy and modern and ti's the perfect piece to just tie in a room to take the look from normal shabby chic to something a tad more nautical. The Beach Bum Bed from Mudhoney is a lovely bed with cuddle poses built in. It has big pillows that look oh, so fluffy and it has traditional summer colors blues, greens and browns. I adore how the bedspread on this bed looks and how the top of it is folded over. Another side edition for your home is the Tansu Steps. It is sort of a unit for putting things on but reminds me of old boxes on a dock stacked up in neatly. It's not only pretty to look out but looks fab with a few items plunked down on it. Mudhoney offers so many choices and is really a shop that should be visited even if you aren't interested in a seaside look.

Logo Contest!

This is something I probably should have done a while ago, but it's come to an important part in my *career*, I suppose, that I need a good logo, and I'd love your help!

I need more than just a pretty picture with my store name on it. I need a symbol, or mark, or whatever you'd like to call it, that would represent MudHoney Designs.

There are *rules* to the logo design, as I need to be able to do certain things with it.

It must be a simple and clean design on a transparent background (preferably a vector so I can resize it without pixelation).
It must be black and white. You may make one with color as a sample, but it must be black and white.
It must be scalable (which is why it would be best if it's a vector). I want to be able to make it large enough for a store sign, or small enough to stamp on my ads.
The top 5 finalists MUST be able to provide the PSD or AI file. This will be sent to my email at the end of the contest.

Since you can't send a vector inworld, everyone who would like to participate can send a full perm .png or .tga file to me inworld of the finished graphic, or post it to the MudHoney Designs Flickr Pool at http://www.flickr.com/groups/mudhoneypool . Any entries sent to me inworld must give me permission to post to the Flickr pool.

I will be judging, along with input from a panel of other people, which design I will use.

Of course there's something in this for you too. The top 5 entries will each receive a 500L gift certificate to MudHoney Designs. Second place will receive a 5000L gift card. And the person who comes up with the winning entry, will be given a 10,000L gift certificate to MudHoney, and will be publicly chastised... er...announced. I'll also be throwing in a date with my hubby. (He says no happy endings.)

I'll also be planning an event to congratulate the winner and runner ups, held at Club Fusion!

The contest will be running from 5/10/09 until 6/10/09 to give plenty of time to come up with ideas. You may send as many entries as you'd like.

Mother's Day Themed Hunt

Golden Falls Store Prefab

This is a smallish store prefab, about 35x30m. It’s a tad smaller than that, but that’s the amount of space I’d give it, just in case. I haven’t seen a furnished store prefab anywhere else, and decided I would do one. There’s seating, a couple of plants, area rugs, artwork, clothing racks and displays…and all it’s missing is your products! The logo on the outside of the store is my friend’s logo, but you can drag your own logo right on top of it. The way I have the furnished one set up, it comes in at 420 prims. The empty building is 201 prims. Of course, everything is mod/copy, so you can change textures, cut prims, add or subtract whichever displays to use, move stuff around, or whatever you want to do to customize it for yourself. You have to go to the prefab rezzer outside of my store to see Golden Falls in all of its glory. You can get this set furnished or unfurnished.

I’m like a little kid proud of this set, and I hope you guys love it as much as I do. It’s full of black and white, and creamy, fancy goodness. Luckily, we don’t get dirty in sl, cause in rl, this set wouldn’t be for sitting. The sofa is stuffed full of poses for 3 people. Click on the candles to turn them on or off. They flicker like real candles! The fruit is plastic, don’t eat it. I made the fruit bowl cheapola cause I got the fruits from the library folder, I just made the bowl. Click on the lamp to turn it off and on, and it makes a little clicky sound like a light switch. The side chairs each have 4 sits in them, so you can sit how you want and, the whole set weighs in at 85 prims. You can get this set in copy or trans permission, yay!

Rustic Spring Livingroom Set

I decided to go a little bit shabby for this set. This is something that I’d furnish my own house with. Everything is all rustic and mismatchy, and even one of the end tables has a short leg and is using a book to prop it up. The sofa has 4 menu driven sits for one person…sorry, I couldn’t fit more people on it with the animations I used. So, I added some pillows for the floor, which also has 4 menu driven sits for one person. Both of the lamps turn off and on by touching them and make the clickity sound previously mentioned. This set weighs in at 82 prims, and is also available as copy or trans. Of course, as usual, both of these sets are mod so you can customize any of the textures if you wish.

Modern Man Furniture Set

This is my biggest furniture set so far. Modern Man has 17 pieces, and was designed with the guys in mind. I found some RL inspiration for this really awesome stainless bed, and designed a whole room around it... accessories and all. The side chair has multiple sits in it, the light turns off and on by touch, and the bed is filled with pervy, cuddly, and sleepy animations. In the box, I've included an empty bed and a menu driven bed.

I think I'll be doing this from now on with my bedroom sets.

Serene Gazebo Set

I've got a little bit of spring fever. It's coooold here, so I made something for warm weather. Serene is a gazebo with a large bed sized lounger, plush curtains, flickering candles, and some nag champa incense. The lounger has sits for 4 avatars. And the curtains are linked separately than the gazebo in case you're low on prims.

The Gazebo is 19 prims, and the curtains are 49 prims.

I made a boy version of the nursery set, and it looks sooo cute! I call it Bluesy Baby, and any prim baby boy would think you're the coolest mom ever if you furnished his room with this set.

Modern Vanity Set

I've had a vanity with makeup set written down on my *stuff to make* list for a couple of months now. And, yeah... I'm finally getting to it.

Aaanyway... I don't smoke anymore, but when I did, I was always smoking when I put on my makeup. Then I'd get smoke in my eye, and get mad. So, I added a pack of smokes, an ashtray and a smoking cig to the set (you don't have to put these out if you don't smoke, of course :D). Click on the makeups and watch em change color. Admire yourself in the mirror, have a smoke (included), and sniff the perdy flowers.

Milk Crate Shops

So, I found a few random pics of milk crates.. .and then I stared at them. For a long time. Then, that little lightbulb came over my head and it told me to turn it upside down and make a store prefab out of it! So... I did. And, I made 4 texture variations of them: White, 2 Tone, Beach, and Metal.

The two side stores are actually the same, but i did the work of rotating one of them for you... cause I'm nice like that. :D They're all mod/copy, so you can retexture, take prims out, add to them, rez 4 million of them... whatever.

Escape Bathroom Set

Bathrooms aren't something I generally do, because I think bathrooms in SL are kind of silly. But, for those of you who like to pretend to do your business and cleanse yourself, here is the Escape Bathroom. I couldn't fit everything in the ad pic, but there's also included a potty, a plunger, a roll of tp to hang on the wall, a towel rack with a couple of necessities, and a rack for next to your tub, along with everything else that's pictured in the ad pic.

I've also made a separate box, so you can buy just the candles separately as a package of 10.
The shower can be turned off and on just by touching it, and the tub has both a bathing and shower pose. There's a lounger included with 2 lounging animations. All of the candles can be lit/unlit just by touching them, and if you force your sun to midnight, you can see them flicker!

All pieces can be purchased separately in the store, or as a full set for a discounted price.
This set is the beginning of an ongoing project. I plan to have a full house full of furniture to go along with this one! And, maybe, eventually a house built around the furniture :)

Japanese Community House

This house was quite a bit of a challenge for me, since it went totally outside of my norm. I googled a lot of Japanese house pictures, and threw some design elements together, and the Japanese Community House is what I came up with. :D

Complete with sliding Shoji screen doors and torii inspired door frames. (Look, I learned something! woo!) Anyway... I had fun with this house, and challenged myself learning a whole different area of design, and I plan on doing more!

Cancun House

I had a request to change up the Cancun House a bit. Sooo, I made it a lighter wood, with darker wood accents and added an extra room. If you live with a couple of friends, this house is perfect for you.

The house is complete with open and close blinds and lockable doors.

The Stratton Office

This office is 110 prims for the full set, and I stocked the shelves full of books, pictures and accessories. There are scattered papers and schedules on the desk, and the floating flower tea lights on the shelf on the desk can be turned off and on by touching them.

(The Stratton Office can be found inside the middle of the store, right against the back wall.)

Deco Shops

These come in a package of 4 small shops, 5 large shops, or a package of all of them combined with a bit of a discount. The Deco stores were made with Art Deco inspiration. Each store should butt up perfectly next to each other if you're snapping them to the grid, and keep each one under 25 prims.

Included in the box are the shops in a rezzer, separately, so you can use them set up how I have them, or place them your own way.

(These stores can only be found in the prefab rezzer outside to the North of the store.)

The Peace on Earth hunt is extended till the 31st of December because of the huge amount of vendors that are participating. 350 vendors! I'm excited and overwhelmed all at the same time.

I love snow. When I don't have to drive in it anyway. It's perfect in SL. No cold winds, no icy roads.

I snowed up everywhere around the store! You can build a snowman, make snow angels, play in the snow, or even just walk around and enjoy the scenery. Make sure you bundle up!

(Yes, that's me dancing in front of the store in unmatching clothes.)

I'll be taking down all the Summer and Fall items after Thanksgiving, so if you're wanting to get them, come do it this week! I'll have them stored away in my inventory until next year.

Alllsoo... I'm participating in 2 hunts.

The Santa Packs hunt begins on Dec 1st at Noon, and runs through Christmas day! You'll have to find a Santa bag at each store packed full of goodies.

And the Peace On Earth hunt begins Dec 2, and runs through the 9th. There are more than 200 vendors participating already! You have to look for the globes.

But who cares! Christmas is coming! And, since I'm in the spirit, I made some stuff for your snowy outside.

Snowy Cuddle Spot

Everyone loves cuddling in front of a fire, but only the brave will cuddle outside in the snow in front of a fire.

Bundle up and grab your honey for a romp in the snow. The snowy cuddle spot comes with the blanket, pillows, fireplace and little snow piles.

Inside the menu, there's cuddles and humps. And the fireplace can be turned off and on by clicking on the wood pile.

When you're placing the snow piles with the blanket, it's meant to be pushed into the ground a little bit to look like a part of the landscaping.

Santa's Sleigh

I like to think santa is real, so I made this cute sleigh with a sculpted bag full of presents. Yep, those presents are for me, but you can borrow them.

You can tuck this bad boy away in a snowy forest, or make it look like Santa crashed into a snowbank in your yard. Or however you like. The sleigh isn't driveable, but you can hang out with your friends on it!

Gypsy Wagon

This Gypsy Wagon began as a request from an awesomely fun girl I met at our Halloween Howler. I honestly didn't think I could pull it off, but decided "how will I learn if I don't try?" So, I did it! Yay me!

I decided to do dark ashy colored wood throughout the wagon, making it extra cozy and rustic feeling. I furnished the wagon with rich colored, comfortable fabrics. The day bed is made of all cottons and canvas fabrics in crisp and warm tones together. The billowy curtains are made of a rich red silk, and frame the daybed perfectly.

I crafted the table and chair set with the same ashy wood the caravan is made from, as to not distract away from the plush daybed.

This was one of my more challenging projects, and am proud of how it turned out. Thank you Jenica for pushing a challenge on me! I definitely encourage more challenges, as I had fun with this! Now, I've got to see if I can pull of Medieval. Haha.

Summer Getaway

I originally was making a summer getaway type home for myself, and thought it would be a great house to share with everyone else. I used dark wood throughout the home, and it's large enough to fit your basic furniture sets, but not so big that you're spending days trying to figure out what you're going to fill the spaces with.
